These can be viewed by the leader or shared with prospective members, as the first kickoff/scouting session or a mid-course re-focus.

They can also be used as outreach tools for the members.

INTRODUCTION TO THE “DESTINED” MENTORING PROCESS and tools

This is not an ordinary Bible Study or small group. God is using the “Destined” mentoring process and tools to produce lasting life change in many people.

God honors the focus on the Person of Christ, the power of the Holy Spirit, and the personal, practical faith steps.

A SIMPLE TOOL FOR ASSESSING MY CERTAINTY AND CLARITY OF CONVICTIONS.

“HOW CLEAR AM I ABOUT THE CORE CONVICTIONS OF CHRISTIANITY?”

This helps me see areas where I need God’s help in equipping me to grow and share with others.

It can help me to lovingly ask others where they are in their spiritual journey. It also helps me to choose equipping processes and tools that will be most useful to help people understand these core convictions.

Some ministries have used something similar to measure the clarity of convictions of their group so they can more effectively equip them.

These questions have helped me greatly in pre-evangelism to listen closely to someone’s heart, and share the truths they need most. They have helped us as a family to discuss crucial convictions.

Their greatest value is seen in interviewing leaders who are considering the discipleship process.

Does God really exist?

Is the Bible trustworthy?

Will He adopt me, stay with me, now and for eternity?

Will He free me from the guilt and practice of sin?

Does He give me power to live the way I should live?

Can I be connected to real people who have a real God who helps them in real life?

Can I share the good news with others, so that their lives are transformed for now and for eternity?

Will these treasures, these foundations, transform my family, fitness, finances friends, fun and faith?

 I can identify faith steps which lead to transformation?

Dear Small Group Leader, (or one to one discipler)

Have you ever wondered if people in your small group (or others you care about) have a clear understanding of the core elements of their Christian faith?

Are you confident that they have a solid biblical foundation in the areas of salvation, forgiveness, power over sin and authority and reliability of the Bible?

Could they clearly explain what they believe to someone who is seeking answers to core questions about a relationship with God? Do their lives show these principles?

If you’re not sure where the people you care about stand on these critical questions, I invite you to one of two training events in January.

These will expose you to a process and a tool that will help insure that your small group is clear and confident about what they believe.
